This lightweight ankle brace is quick and easy to put on, allowing you to strap it on in a matter of seconds. All you need to do is secure the internal sleeve at the front of your ankle with the hook-and-loop fastener, and then bring the single strap around the back of your ankle and up through the plastic buckle on the outside of your ankle. This can then be adjusted to be as loose or as tight as you require.

- High-quality ankle brace ideal for professional and amateur athletes alike
- Supports your ankle with plastic stabilisers to prevent sprains and ankle rollover
- Stabilising at 60° to provide your ankle with a more comfortable resting angle
- Comfortable to wear with a breathable Breath-O-Prene material
- Quick and easy to put on with a secure single fastening strap
- Fits into most trainers, boots, and shoes without being bulky
- Suitable for hand washing in lukewarm water with mild soap and then air dried
How Does the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Prevent Sprains and Rollovers?
This ankle support features a sleek stabiliser that goes from one side of your ankle to the other, resting comfortably under the arch of your foot. The proprioceptive nature of the brace means you are more subconsciously aware of where you are placing your foot, reducing the risk of further injury.
Unlike traditional ankle supports, which are often designed with a 90° angle, the A60 supports the ankle at 60°. This is akin to the angle of your foot during activities, making the A60 Ankle Support ideal for preventing sprains and ankle rollover during sports.
Which Sports Is This Ankle Support Suitable For?
This lightweight ankle support is suitable for a wide range of sports and physical activities, and can prevent ankle injuries and sprains while playing virtually any dry-land sport that requires turning or running. Suitable sports include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Badminton
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Cricket
- Football
- Golf
- Hockey
- Lacrosse
- Rugby
- Running
- Squash

…and more!
What If My A60 feels too tight?
If you find your Aircast A60 Brace fits too tightly, we recommend you try adjusting your brace by moving the fabric further up the foot until it looks in line with the fit pictured in the image below:
Can I Wear the Aircast A60 with an Existing Sprain?
The Aircast A60 Brace is designed to provide prophylactic protection and support, preventing injured ankles before they occur. This preventative ankle brace is therefore not suitable for wearing while you are suffering from an existing ankle sprain.
If you require a brace for functional recovery of an existing ankle sprain, the Aircast Air-Stirrup Universe Ankle Brace will help to reduce swelling and pain. If you’re almost ready to begin physical activity again before a full recovery, we recommend the semi-rigid cushioning support of the Aircast Airsport Ankle Brace.
Can I Wear the A60 Ankle Support On Either Foot?
As the Aircast Ankle Brace features an anatomical shape to fit with the curves of your ankle, it should be worn only on the specified foot.
Can I Wear This Brace on Both Ankles?
Yes! If you have previously suffered sprains on both ankles and wish to protect against a similar injury in the future, then wearing an A60 on each ankle is a good measure to prevent against sprains and ankle rollover.
Will the A60 Brace Fit Inside My Normal Shoes?
With a low-profile design that doesn’t bulk out your footwear, you can wear the A60 Ankle Support inside virtually any trainer, football boot, hiking boot or shoe. As you can see from the image below, the brace contours to your ankle shape without excessive bulk, making sure it won’t compromise your footwear and your comfort.
How Comfortable Is It?
This stabilising ankle brace is an incredibly comfortable and lightweight ankle support! The stabiliser rests snugly under the arch of your foot without adding any bulk to your shoes, and the curved stabilisers conform to the natural shape of your foot for improved comfort.
Do I Wear Socks with the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?
It’s best to wear the Aircast A60 brace on top of a sock. Not only will this make it more comfortable, but it will also prevent it from moving around while you’re active. There’s no need to compromise your warmth while playing sports outdoors!
How Does the A60 Stay In Place?
As the A60 Ankle Support wraps under the arch of the foot, anchoring the support in the correct position, the ankle brace is prevented from migrating up the leg during use. This means that the brace reduces the risk of the brace moving out of its correct position and limits the time you need to spend repositioning the brace during sport or activity.
What Should I Do After I Take Off the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?
After removing the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace, we recommend that you gently apply an ice pack to the area. Not only will this feel soothing after an intense workout, but it will also help to prevent any post-match discomfort from turning into something more nasty. The Ankle Ice Pack Wrap is a perfect solution!
How Often Will I Be Able to Wear This Ankle Support?
You can wear the A60 whenever you feel the need to protect your ankle during physical activities. The mesh fabric construction surrounding the plastic stabilisers stands up to vigorous use whether outdoors on the pitch or inside the sports hall, ensuring it can provide you with vital support time and time again.
What’s the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Made Of?
This brace is made from special Breathe-O-Prene fabric, while the stabiliser inside the ankle brace is made from a moulded plastic to provide reliable support at a 60° angle. Although rigid enough to provide effective stability, the stabiliser is not uncomfortable, providing reliable and lightweight ankle support. A full list of actual materials include:
- Nylon
- Spandex

- Polypropylene Resin
- Polyethylene Foam
