What's Included?
Which Size Do I Need?
While the Aircast Ankle Cryo Cuff is supplied in one universal and adjustable size, the Aircast A60 Ankle Support is available for the left and the right foot in sizes Small, Medium, and Large. Please see the table below for details.
Size | Men's UK Shoe Size | Women's UK Shoe Size | EU Sizing |
Small | Up to Size 5 | Up to Size 5.5 | Up to Size 38 |
Medium | Size 6 to 8.5 | Size 6.5 to 9.5 | Size 39 - 42 |
Large | Size 8.5+ | Size 9.5+ | Size 42+ |
What Should I Do If I Fall Between Sizes?
If your shoe size falls between two sizes, we suggest selecting the larger of the two sizes for comfort. However, if you would prefer a snug fit, please select the lower of the two sizes. If your ankle is swollen and you are close to a sizing boundary, we would advise choosing a larger size.
Who Should Use the A60 and Cooler Unit Saver Pack?
This recovery pack is ideal for anyone in the latter stages of recovery from an ankle injury, or those who have suffered ankle injuries in the past looking to avoid re-injury. The rollover protection and stability provided by the A60 is perfect for ankles recovering from sprains, while the Aircast Cryo/Cuff and IC Cooler Unit use a pneumatic pump to cycle cold water at an even pace around the cuff, providing unrivalled targeted cold therapy to the ankle.
What If I Have Recently Injured My Ankle?
This kit is recommended for minor injuries and the latter stages of recovery from more severe ankle injuries. If you are looking to support your ankle after a more recent severe injury, we recommend the Aircast Three-Stage Recovery Kit to provide you with more robust support in the early stages of your recovery.
What Sets the Aircast A60 Apart from Other Ankle Braces?
- High-quality ankle brace ideal for professional and amateur athletes alike
- Supports your ankle with plastic stabilisers to prevent sprains and ankle rollover
- Stabilising at 60° to provide your ankle with a more comfortable resting angle
- Comfortable to wear with a breathable Breath-O-Prene material
- Quick and easy to put on with a secure single fastening strap
- Fits into most trainers, boots, and shoes without being bulky
- Suitable for hand washing in lukewarm water with mild soap and then air dried
Why Choose the Aircast Cryo/Cuff and IC Cooler Unit?
Combining a contoured cuff for targeted cold therapy of the ankle with a continuously-fed cooler powered by a motor for ideal circulation, these two items can provide cold therapy to the ankle for up to eight hours. When the unit is connected to the power supply, the pneumatic pump in the lid will continuously cycle cold water through the cuff at an even and steady pace. The unit can be used without power as well, as the cooler can be placed above the cuff while in use for a gravity-fed system.
How Does the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Prevent Sprains and Rollovers?
This ankle support features a sleek stabiliser that goes from one side of your ankle to the other, resting comfortably under the arch of your foot. The proprioceptive nature of the brace means you are more subconsciously aware of where you are placing your foot, reducing the risk of further injury.
Unlike traditional ankle supports, which are often designed with a 90° angle, the A60 supports the ankle at 60°. This is akin to the angle of your foot during activities, making the A60 Ankle Support ideal for preventing sprains and ankle rollover during sports.
Indications for the Aircast Cooler Unit
The Aircast Cold Therapy Cooler Unit is suitable for a number of indications and can be used with a range of cuffs for different parts of the body. Indications include the following:
- General haemarthrosis

Why Is Cold Therapy Beneficial?
The Cold Therapy Automatic Cryo/Cuff Unit provides up to eight hours of cryotherapy to the area you wish to target. This type of therapy is thought to reduce discomfort and inflammation while also improving blood flow in the area. This is particularly useful if you've suffered from an injury or you've undergone surgery and require targeted pain relief without the use of painkillers.
Which Sports Is the A60 Suitable For?
This lightweight ankle support is suitable for a wide range of sports and physical activities, and can prevent ankle injuries and sprains while playing virtually any dry-land sport that requires turning or running. Suitable sports include, but are not limited to, the following:

What Exercises Can I Do to Aid My Recovery?
Support and cold therapy are important, but stretching and strength exercises will be needed to get your ankle back to full health. We recommend using resistance bands, where you can complete exercises such as circling, flexing and extending your ankles to strengthen them.
Can I Wear This Brace on Both Ankles?
Yes! If you have previously suffered sprains on both ankles and wish to protect against a similar injury in the future, then wearing an A60 on each ankle is a good measure to prevent against sprains and ankle rollover.
Will the A60 Brace Fit Inside My Normal Shoes?
With a low-profile design that doesn’t bulk out your footwear, you can wear the A60 Ankle Support inside virtually any trainer, football boot, hiking boot or shoe. As you can see from the image below, the brace contours to your ankle shape without excessive bulk, making sure it won’t compromise your footwear and your comfort.
How Easy Is It to Put On the A60 Brace?
This lightweight ankle brace is quick and easy to put on, allowing you to strap it on in a matter of seconds. All you need to do is secure the internal sleeve at the front of your ankle with the hook-and-loop fastener, and then bring the single strap around the back of your ankle and up through the plastic buckle on the outside of your ankle. This can then be adjusted to be as loose or as tight as you require.

Can I Wear Socks with the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace?
It’s best to wear the Aircast A60 brace on top of a sock. Not only will this make it more comfortable, but it will also prevent it from moving around while you’re active. There’s no need to compromise your warmth while playing sports outdoors!
What Is Anti-Migration and How Does the A60 Stay In Place?
As the A60 Ankle Support wraps under the arch of the foot, anchoring the support in the correct position, the ankle brace is prevented from migrating up the leg during use. This means that the brace reduces the risk of the brace moving out of its correct position and limits the time you need to spend repositioning the brace during sport or activity.
Aircast A60 Materials
This brace is made from special Breathe-O-Prene fabric, while the stabiliser inside the ankle brace is made from a moulded plastic to provide reliable support at a 60° angle. Although rigid enough to provide effective stability, the stabiliser is not uncomfortable, providing reliable and lightweight ankle support. A full list of actual materials include:
- Nylon
- Spandex
- Polyester
- Polypropylene Resin
- Polyethylene Foam
Is the Aircast A60 a Latex-Free Ankle Brace?
The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace is free from latex, making it a suitable option for you if you’re worried about latex allergies or often find latex-based products to be uncomfortable or irritating.
